The plethora of churches in Mainz

During out trip in Europe last June, we visited Germany. One of the stops there was Mainz; a lovely city on the Rhein River. We especially enjoyed walking around the Altstadt (old centre), where we walked around the marketplace and enjoyed watching people.

The first thing that we noticed was a number of churches this city has. They are found everywhere, and their beautiful architecture {especially with the older churches} kept on pulling me in. Tourist in my home country – Holland

It’s always nice to go back home and see friends and family. It also is hectic as we travel around the entire country. With Holland being so small, I can’t really complain, but still, it can be pretty exhausting. It is always a surprise who you will see once you’re back home. And sometimes you even have people visiting you, who you met overseas. It’s during this times you can really become a tourist in your own country. This does not often happen, but this time, it did.

Travel Tuesday – Düsseldorf here we come

We’ll be back home in Holland for two weeks. While I love enjoying travelling back home, it’s always super exhausting to travel back and forth between meeting everyone again. So to make sure we don’t need a holiday from our holiday once we return back home, we decided to head out to Düsseldorf for a couple of days.
