In Turkey, women should not laugh in public

That’s just my luck, a couple of days ago we booked our ticket to visit Istanbul, and then this news article popped up:

Women should not laugh in public

In a speech by the Deputy Prime Minister, Mr Bülent Arınç, on “moral corruption” in the country, he said that women should not laugh in public in Turkey.

So what should we do next? Cancel my ticket? Or just try not to laugh for the 5 days we will be there… Tough call 😉
